Synopsis
Divided into five parts and nineteen chapters, An Introduction to Nuclear Physics explores the nucleus its size, shape and structure, its static and dynamic properties, its interaction with external system and above all the nuclear interaction in the two-nucleon and many-nucleon systems. The books structure allows a formulaic approach to the material, allowing the reader to fully immerse themselves as they gradually work through more complex subjects, from nuclear binding energy through to the different aspects of nuclear excitations and decay.
