About the Author
Jimmy Pickering studied character animation at California Institute of the Arts and went on to work for Hallmark, The Walt Disney Company, and Universal Studios. Art directing the Men In Black attraction at Universal Studios Orlando and designing Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Pet Cemetery are two of his signature works. In the fall of 2001, his first book Somethin' Pumpkin was published to critical acclaim. He is also the author and illustrator of It's Fall and It's Winter. Jimmy creates paintings for the Storyopolis and Every Picture Tells a Story galleries in Los Angeles. He was a featured artist in the major gallery exhibition "Designing Disney's Theme Parks: The Architecture of Reassurance." Jimmy now lives in a magical little town on the Oregon coast called Astoria.
