Marinas Sr.andlt;/bandgt; holds black belts in aikido from the Philippine Aikido Club under Sensei Ambrosio Gavileno and in shorin-ryu from the Commando Karate Club under Sensei Latino Gonzalez and Sensei Anselmo "Pop" Santos.
