About the Author
Jean Power is a professional, award-winning beading and jewelry designer, writer and teacher. Born and brought up in London, she grew up with a love of crafts and art and devotes as much time as possible to writing, teaching and beading. Jean's beading and jewelry designs have been published in numerous magazines and books around the world, including
Bead and Button, Beadwork, Step-by-step Beads, and
Jewellery Crafts. She is the co-author of two previous jewelry books and is the editor of
Bead, the UK's first magazine devoted entirely to beading and jewelry making.
Liz Thornton is a beadwork artist with a passion for teaching. She has run classes in London since 1995 and travels widely to tutor at beadwork events and colleges and for private groups. A founding member of The Beadworkers Guild, she co-edited the Guild's Introduction to Beadwork books and edited its journal for three years. She is co-author of Beading for Beginners.
