About the Author
Becca Smith is a lifelong and passionate knitter who loves working with great fibers. She is Vice President of two family-owned businesses, Smith International Enterprises, Inc. and H C Smith Ltd, both located in Cleveland, Ohio. As part of her role at Smith International, Ms. Smith created The BagSmith, a supplier of unique and innovative products to independent yarn shops in the United States and abroad. Patterns and designs are created in-house at The BagSmith. Television guest appearances include the Shay Pendray Needle Arts Studio Show and Knitting Daily, both on PBS. Ms. Smith earned a B.M. Ed. and an M.M. Ed. from Chicago Musical College and a Master of Philosophy in Teaching Humanities at Roosevelt University. She was named EPDA Fellow in 1971. She was a founder and director of the Masters in Interdisciplinary Arts at Columbia College in Chicago and previously served as Director of Education for The Cleveland Orchestra.
