About the Author
FRANK SCHMIDT, Ph.D., is Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Since 1978, he has taught biochemistry to graduate, medical, undergraduate, and continuing education students. His scholarly work is in the areas of RNA biochemistry, the origin of life, drug discovery, and inquiry-based science education.
