About the Author
SALLY ROTH is a lifelong gardener and naturalist. She is the author of The Backyard Bird Feeder's Bible, Attracting Bird to Your Backyard, Attracting Hummingbirds and Butterflies to Your Backyard, Natural Landscaping, Taylor's Guide to Ornamental Grasses, and other books about nature and gardening. She's a lively public speaker who has been featured at Cornell University, the Marchand International Horticultural Conference, the Philadelphia Flower Show, and other venues big and small. She's also appeared no radio shows and on HGTV; been a horticultural and ornithological consultant; taught college classes in bird identification, native plants, and garden design; written for most major gardening magazines and the Old Farmer's Almanac and served as a contributing editor of Fine Gardening magazine. Sally lives in southwestern Washington state in a small town along the mighty Columbia River. Hummingbirds are in her yard year-round, and she's still trying to figure out how to lure a bald eagle to her feeder.
