DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! I went through this book bought as a present, and I wanted to cry with the amount of ignorance and lack of common details in this book! I looked under Bald Eagle and it showed a picture of a golden eagle saying it was an immature, I looked under American Kestrel, something that is extremely hard to get wrong, yet the picture of a peregrine falcon greeted me....smallest falcon? Well, the picture shows this "american kestrel" as big as a falconer's hand....Also, there is a lack of other common birds of prey seen a lot, but pages for uncommon, rare birds of prey that have never been heard of before and really no one could care less for. It also confuses left and right on photos, and in the California Condor page, it shows a picture of a black vulture....How could anyone knowing this little publish a book?? Theres a pic of a red tail in the Cooper's hawk section....Im appalled! There is also a hornbill in the book!! That is NOT a bird of prey!! There is a prairie falcon on the Harris Hawk page....wtf! Theres a coopers hawk on the merlin page too....Theres a hawk on the peregrine falcons page and a coopers hawk on the red tailed hawks page, and some hawk of a different species on the sparrow hawks page! If I can point all of these mistakes out, then why buy this book?!
