About the Author
Mary Ellen Guffey is Emerita professor of business from Los Angeles Pierce College. She has taught business communication and business English topics for over thirty years. She received a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, in business education from Bowling Green State University; a master's degree in business education from the University of Illinois, where she held a fellowship; and a doctorate in business and economic education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She has taught at the University of Illinois, Santa Monica College, and Los Angeles Pierce College. She is the author of BUSINESS COMMUNICATION: PROCESS AND PRODUCT, a leading textbook in the field.
