"It's difficult to praise the Cadogan books too highly; good writing, amusing comment, and invaluable advice."
--The Independent (UK)Synopsis
Navigate your way expertly through Amsterdam, the 'Venice of the North', with Cadogan's absorbing and insightful guide. From the fine museums of the Museumplein to the Red Light District, via a 'brown bar' or two on the way, this guide is packed with ideas for any length of visit.
Synopsis
Amsterdam makes other cities look as if they just haven't tried. It boasts more canals than Venice and a more famous Red Light District than even Bangkok's. Plus a range of fine museums - from the Anne Frank Huis to the Rijksmuseum - that makes Paris look narrow-minded. And then there are the hundreds of 'brown bars' that make even London's pubs seem characterless.
