Author Information Steven G. Krantz is Chairman of the Mathematics Department at Washington University in St. Louis. An award-winning teacher and author, Dr. Krantz has written more than 30 books on mathematics, including How to Teach Mathematics, Calculus Demystified, and Differential Equations Demystified. He is the former Deputy Director at the American Institute of Mathematics.
