About the Author
Native New Yorkers Bern Marcowitz and Margot Rosenberg are the proprietors of Dog Lovers Bookshop, which they founded as a tribute to their German shorthaired pointer, Potemkin. The dachshunds, born in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, were puppies when they moved to New York City, where they are active in the parks, canine events, and bookselling.
Margot and Bern, who came to bookselling from the publishing and travel industries, respectively, are rabid collectors of old books-their favorite subjects include the domestic dog, the wolf, Wagner, travel, and baseball-which they delight in rescuing from thrift shops, library sales, and sundry unexpected venues.
