About the Author
Karl Marx (1818-1883) has been held responsible for many of the social upheavals of the 20th century. Born in Germany, Marx lived most of his life in exile in London. He transformed revolutionary theory, but his ideas have often been distorted and reduced to useless dogma in the name of socialism, by both the left and the right. Nevertheless, the capitalist class still lives in fear of his name.
