The third title in the trilogy takes place in the present time and follows THE PHYSICIAN that was set in the 11th century, and SHAMAN in the 1800's, in which a female doctor has inherited the family gift for knowing instinctively when someone is about to die. But when her step-daughter dies, she is left alone to bring up her family.
