About the Author
Ruth Gooch has been involved with clematis since childhood when she was captivated by the glorious double-flowered "Vyvyan Pennell" in her parents' garden. She began Thorncroft Clematis Nursery from the hobby she shared with her parents and, with their help, opened for retail sales in 1989. The nursery has since won multiple gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.
