Second edition. 4to. Complete in 13 volumes. Uniformly bound in modern brown pebbled cloth, red morocco labels on spine.
Title labels worn and chipped. Bindings with varying degrees of bumping, staining. Volume 3 is water damaged, with dampstaining to text and a broken rear hinge. Rear joint to volume 12 with a 2" split and some pencil notation to text.
The second edition was the first to have Walter Scott as editor. He added 81 new tracts to the text.
