Synopsis
Today' s applied calculus course is largely filled with non-majors looking for the skills and concepts to help them in future careers. Martha Goshaw understands these students and has written a book that, in language and scope, fits their needs. Drawing from her XX successful years of classroom experience, she has culled back some traditional topics and theoretical detail for a more modern, student-friendly presentation. She focuses on key concepts and skills, and points out areas where students typically struggle. The result is a more interesting, more meaningful, and less stress-inducing course--that still provides everything students need to succeed after college.
