Ms. Sussman and Ms. Glakas-Tenet's first book, Dare to Repair: A Do-It-Herself Guide to Fixing (Almost) Anything in the Home (HarperCollins, 2002) is not your father's home repair book. And it's not your husband's, your brother's, your boyfriend's, or the guy's next door. Dare to Repair is a do-it-herself book for every woman who would rather be self-reliant than rely on a super or contractor. It has been featured on The New York Times, The Washington Post, Barnes & Noble and Amazon bestseller lists.
Their second book, Dare to Repair Your Car: A Do-It-Herself Guide to Maintenance, Safety, Minor Fix-its, and Talking Shop (HarperCollins, 2005) is a basic car care and safety book written by women for women . . . and men, and new teen drivers, and senior drivers. Okay, it's for every person who dares to drive a car. Library Journal selected it among the Best How-To-Books of 2005.
The authors' third book, Dare to Repair: Volume II (HarperCollins) is scheduled for publication in Spring 2009.
