Synopsis
10 women, 2 girls, 4 men, 1 boy
On the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary, Dora and Charles Randolph gather their children and grandchildren in their North Essex home, to reminisce and reacquaint each other more fully with their lives. The youngsters chatter and question; the middle-aged obsess over their careers and nursery memories; the elders discuss the swift passing of the years. The sweetness of an old nurse, the minor frictions and abiding loyalty of brothers and sisters, the feast-day toast, and the benevolent tyranny of the grandmother are all on display, with a love story woven throughout.
