Gordon S. Jackson teaches journalism at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, where he has also served as associate dean of academic affairs. He has been at Whitworth since 1983. Gordon grew up in South Africa, where he worked as a journalist for a news magazine. He received his undergraduate education in South Africa before obtaining a master’s in communication at Wheaton College and a doctorate in mass communication at Indiana University. Gordon has written or compiled six books, including Never Scratch a Tiger with a Short Stick and Other Quotes for Leaders .
