A pretty great little book by Portlander George Marie (a girl named George!--gotta love that!). This book is a connected batch of poems/flash prose that seem vivid enough to be nonfiction and shadowy enough to appear as artful fictions. My favorite moments are when George digs deep into her own emotional darkness without holding back or apologizing for her anger and sorrow. She's a serious writer and one that will surely make waves as she continues to probe and publish.
