About the Author
Bob LeVitus (Austin, TX) is one of the world's leading authorities on the Mac OS. He writes the "Dr. Mac" column that appears in the Houston Chronicle, the Austin-American Statesman, and occasionally in other newspapers. From 1989 to 1997, he was a contributing editor/columnist for MacUser magazine, writing the "Help Folder," "Beating the System," "Personal Best," and "Game Room" columns at various times in his illustrious career. He was also the host of "Mac Today," a half-hour television show syndicated in over 100 markets, which aired in late 1992. Bob has written 38 popular computer books, including Mac OS 9 for Dummies and Mac OS X for Dummies, both for Hungry Minds, Mac Answers: 2nd Edition for Osborne/McGraw Hill, and Dr. Macintosh for Addison-Wesley. His books have sold more than a million copies worldwide.
