About the Author
I was in Portland, Oregon, visiting a friend. After dinner of a snazzy pizza, I was a little surprised that her son didnt eat more. She pulled me to the side, and virtually begged me to help her get her kids to eat not just more, but healthier. It seemed that all they saw in the world was McDonalds, breakfast cereals and toys. She had tried to “sneak” in healthy foods, but when he found out, he wouldnt trust her any more.
I was stuck. Granted, Ive been accused, and rightfully so, of thinking like a child at times, but this had me perplexed. The answer came to me at Zoo Atlanta, in the gift shop. Kids were jumping up and down to get a stuffed animal, key chain and even a book about a lemur or tiger, or whatever animal caught their fancy. This was it! Lets not hide the food; lets just make it fun! The rest is what I call EAT A ZOO!
