An unsettling anti-manifestoor, as Cotler names his genre, elegy for the manifesto”calling for a radical reconsideration of the 21st centurys position in the history of art and literature in light of developments in the field of cryopreservation, that is, suspended animation of animals and, theoretically, humans. An argument all the more alarming due to the rigor and sobriety with which it unfurls.
About the Author
T. Zachary Cotler is the author of a novel, Ghost at the Loom, and two books of poetry, House with a Dark Sky Roof and Sonnets to the Humans. His awards include the Sawtooth Prize, the Amy Clampitt Residency, and the Ruth Lilly Fellowship. He is a founding editor of The Winter Anthology. He lives in Healdsburg, CA.
