Synopsis
Susan Ludvigson's poems, like the October light that suffuses them, are ripe and shimmering, evoking though subtle music and often startling connection the fullness of time and the complex fruits of experience. They move with an almost haunting cadence through time, loss, desire, and memory toward a harvest that is finally celebratory, but celebratory in no simple way.
