The story of a young girl living with "Aunt Dane" (not her real aunt) for awhile, until her mother is able to care for her again. This spirited girl narrates some of the emotional ups and downs of living in a strange home and being separated from parents and familiar surroundings: sadness, loneliness, hope, disappointment, anger. This is a general story that is suitable for children who are living with anyone other than parents, including those in foster care and kinship care. Includes a Note to Parents.
