Flipped really wasn’t a book for me. It was a book filled with love, romance, and confusion: love confusion. I didn’t really like it, because I’m not the kind of person who likes to read about love, but if you do, this book is perfect for you! I like action, and comedy. When I picked up this book, I expected it to be funny. Just by reading the back cover, that’s the kind of feeling I got from it. That’s not what the book is like at all. It’s serious most of the time. It’s like I was expecting a rollercoaster, but instead got a calm boat ride. The book starts off with Juli being lonely, with no other kids on the street to play with. Once she sees the moving truck pull up to the house across the street, she gets extremely excited. Once Juli figures out there is a boy her age (Bryce) moving in, she bolts right over there, and greets them with a bright smile. She drags Bryce inside his house with her, only to force him to lock himself in the bathroom until she leaves. From that moment on, Juli Baker was madly in love with Bryce; the boy across the street. Bryce has hated Juli ever since that moment when they first met, and has been trying to avoid her ever since. After getting to know her better, he finally realizes Juli isn’t really the way she had always appeared to be…but neither is Bryce. To find out more, you’ll just have to read the book yourself!
