About the Author
Art Rodriguez, San Jose, California was born and raised in San Jose. He owned a dumpster company and had sold it in 2005. He has written four books and translated one into Spanish.Art Rodriguez has been honored by The New York Library System to be on the "2001 Books for the Teenage List" for East Side Dreams. He was also given "The Mariposa Award-Best First Book" at the Latino Literary Hall of Fame. First place for young adult at the 2006 Latino Literary Hall of Fame. Art Rodriguez has written, East Side Dreams, The Monkey Box, Forgotten Memories and had East Side Dreams translated into Spanish, SueNos del Lado Este.
