Synopses & Reviews
Using an integrated approach, FOUNDATIONS OF THE LEGAL ENVIRONMENT OF BUSINESS thoroughly explores the intersection of law, business strategy, and ethics by providing over 200 real-world applications and exercises. Instead of presenting law through a rote learning method, FOUNDATIONS OF THE LEGAL ENVIRONMENT OF BUSINESS provides cases and critical-thinking exercises that illustrate, on almost every page, the clear relevance of the material to issues students will face in the business world. The text's solid theme on ethics challenges students to develop their own moral barometer. FOUNDATIONS OF THE LEGAL ENVIRONMENT OF BUSINESS is an excellent resource for teaching future managers how to understand and apply legal and ethical concepts. It fulfills current curricular and AACSB accrediting standards.
Review
"I would consider adopting this text. . . . It is directed to an audience of future managers and not prospective law students. From my vantage point, that is a great strength."
Review
"Brevity is the sole of wit. This text does enough without doing too much. I think good teachers want room to create a course that reflects their interest and personality. This shorter, more tightly focused text makes that room."
Review
"I think this is an excellent text. Not only does it cover timely and relevant issues, but uses cases which are interesting and involve parties and topics which should be of interest to many students. Moreover, the text addresses the practical side of the law and encourages the students to think about the ethical considerations in business decisions."
