Professor Seymour Slive (1920 ‐ 2014) was one of the greatest leading authorities on Dutch art. He was Emmet Blakeney Gleason Professor of Fine Arts Emeritus at Harvard University and former Elizabeth and John Moors Cabot Director of the Harvard Art Museums.
