Human nature shudders at the bare possibility of such a revolting crime; but when recent public disclosures prove not only the probability of its continuance, but even its actual perpetration, our very feelings are har rowed, and the bitterest execrations give but a faint expression of our detestation of the cold-blooded and de liberate assassin.
