Synopsis
Filoli is a 654-acre estate located thirty miles from San Francisco. Built in the early 1900s, today it is part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and showcases worldrenowned gardens reminiscent of the finest European manors. For this book, Christopher McMahon has chosen over 100 of more than 1,000 color photographs he took while he was assistant garden superintendent of the estate. Together with text by horticulturist Timmy Gallagher, McMahon's pictures present an informative and sensuous stroll through the Filoli gardens.
