Synopses & Reviews
Shape up with this mind-blowing set that--quite honestly--we didnt even know was possible until our editors discovered the exquisite artwork of Heinz Strobls Snapology Project. Inspired by his work, our designers have created
Geometric Origami, a new, sophisticated origami kit for advanced origami artists. Create 15 paper projects using the specially designed strips included in the set: Tetrahedron, Hexahedron, Octahedron, Dodecahedron, Icosahedron, Truncated Tetrahedron, Cuboctahedron, Icosidodecahedron, Rhombic Triacontahedron, Snub Dodecahedron, Zonohedron, and Buckyballs. Dont worrytheres even a few pronounceable shapes like an Egg and a Geometric Bracelet, plus more surprises. (We would include them here, but were still looking up their proper spellings.)
Gain a whole new perspective on geometry and the world of origami.
Great fun for the entire family--or for your local geometry professor.
Geometric Origami offers the next generation of art and paper crafting for origami enthusiasts.

A sophisticated new origami kit for advanced paper-folding enthusiasts, Geometric Origami takes paper art to spectacular new levels. Fifteen intricate paper projects use specially designed strips that come with the book and include a tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, icosahedron, truncated tetrahedron, cuboctahedron, icosidodecahedron, rhombic triacontahedron, snub dodecahedron, zonohedron, and buckyballs. And donand#8217;t worry and#151; there are even a few pronounceable shapes like the egg and a geometric bracelet, plus more surprises. This beautifully designed kit gives a new perspective on geometry and the world of origami and is great fun for the entire family and#151; or the perfect gift for a math professor.
About the Author
Faye Goldman has been doing origami for over 50 years. She was attracted to origami by its ability to demonstrate mathematical concepts and be beautiful at the same time. Her love of mathematics and geometric constructions is mirrored in her modular forms.
Heinz Strobl, the creator of Snapology, the technique of folding used in this book, has labeled her "the ambassador of Snapology." She has taught Snapology around the world. Exhibits of her work have been made in Singapore at OSME^5 (Origami in Science, Math and Education), and at the national conventions of Centerfold, PCOC, and OrigamiUSA.
She lives outside of Philadelphia and is the leader of the Greater Philadelphia Paper Pholders, a regional group of folders dedicated to sharing their love of Origami.
