J. D. is a boy. J. D. loves adventure and hiking and the neighborhood dogs and haunted houses and riddles and Luna moths and swimming and spending the summer on his grandmother's farm.
J. D. does not love Georgie Lee. Not yet, anyway. She's only a silly old black and white cow, and J. D. doesn't think she's smart or funny or nice at all! But there is an entire summer ahead. And almost anything can happen on Grandmother's farm. In fact, it probably will.
About the Author
Sharon Phillips Denslow is a former children's librarian who lives in Elyria, Ohio, with her husband, a fishing boat captain; their two daughters, Erin and Kate; and their big husky, Kodi. She is the author of nine picture books, including Big Wolf and Little Wolf, illustrated by Cathie Felstead, and of the novel for young readers Georgie Lee, an ALA Notable Book.
