Review
"This book is clearly an important expose of American involvement in brutality and torture in several Latin American dictatorships. Centering upon a former police chief of Richmond, Indiana, the author creates a fascinating story of how U. S.police advisors provided much of the technical expertise for the denial of human and political rights in Latin America. Parts of Hidden Terrors are awkwardly written, but the book is well worth reading." Reviewed by Daniel Weiss, Virginia Quarterly Review (Copyright 2006 Virginia Quarterly Review)
