Review
"Extremely useful to both state history and national historians....Spanish and French places are carefully located; cattle trails and the routes of American explorers are given; historic missions, forts, towns, and early roads are included. Very helpful is a series of maps on the Indians showing political divisions and important places." Journal of American History
