Phil Stong became famous in l932 with his Iowa classic, "State Fair," which went on to become a smash hit broadway musical by Rogers and Hammerstein. His titles include 39 novels, many short stories and screen plays. His other children's work include Phil Stong's Big Book, and Way Down Cellar.
