About the Author
Robert D. Gatewood received his Ph.D. in industrial psychology from Purdue University and is currently Professor of Management and Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He has been published in Academy of Management Journal Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology and the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology. Professor Gatewood has also consulted with companies such as PPG Industries, Westinghouse, BellSouth and Ford.Hubert S. Feild earned his Ph.D. in industrial psychology from the University of Georgia. He has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology and Personnel Psychology. He has consulted with companies such and SONY, PPG Industries, and General Electric.Murray R. Barrick obtained his Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Akron and is the Paul M. and Rosalie Robertson Chair in Business at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M. He has been a faculty member in the Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University and the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. His specialty lies in assessing the impact individual differences in personality and behavior have on job performance and on methods of measuring and predicting such differences. His research has been published in numerous journals and he is presently serving as the Associate Editor of Personnel Psychology, which is only one of four journals in applied psychology to be included in a list of the most influential journals in psychology over the last 100 years.
