I Used to Be Normal, Then I Got Bored is a journey of one woman from a place of total insecurity and lack of self-worth into a strong, spiritual woman who travels in faith knowing that each step is Divine. Not only is it her story, but it is also a guidebook and an inspiration for others who may be suffering, or who know they want to break out of a life that no longer serves them but are still to afraid to take the leap. Arael is an example of how following your dreams and inner guidance can lead to a very fulfilling life. A quote she often uses is, "When you come to the edge of all you know, you are given one of two things, land to stand on or wings to fly."
About the Author
Arael (full name Nancy Arael) was a school career counselor for 10 years for an inner-city high school in her home town of Reading, Penn., until she had a vision of her Spirit Guide, Crow Woman, who led her to Shamanism. After working with Crow Woman for five years and training with several other shamans from the Peruvian, Celtic, African and Aboriginal cultures, she developed a successful healing center in Reading, which manifested with little effort once she made up her mind to make it happen. After the successful run with her center, she was once again redirected and told to let go of her healing center and become the "center" as Spirit said for her to BE in the world. From this point on she has traveled where she is "led" through visions and dreams, and she goes, knowing that she will meet the right people at the right moment, to give them what they need as she receives what she needs.
