I Was For Sale is the story of a modern Betty Page. Lisa Falour came to New York in the late 1970s seeking education, a career, and self-expression, and ended up "walking on the wild side" as a bondage model for hire -- working clandestinely to satisfy the fetishes of personal clients whilst simultaneously pursuing a career in Wall Street.
As well as candidly retelling the extraordinary sexual life and practices of a bondage model, I Was For Sale also documents New York in the late '70s, a time when the punk scene was at its height and sex, drugs and rock & roll ruled the streets. From the rich and famous to the poor and notorious, Lisa Falour rubbed shoulders with them all.
