Synopsis
The book covers from 1992-2010. Diagnosed with Klinefelter's Syndrome, alcoholism, meth use, violent crime and 3 prison sentences. Eighteen years later I'm clean and sober and I remain involved with the legal system until November 2012 (on parole).
Description
The author shares his experience of 6 years in prison from visits on three seperate occasions. He also tells of the time leading up to it as well as the times in between. The reader will discover what it was like and issues Mr. Breedlove is still dealing with as a result.
There are quite a few funny parts and poetry as well.
About the Author
I wrote this to let you (the reader) know what it was like in there. But also to help you understand all the potential pitfalls and challenges facing someone who is trying to put this behind them.
I went through a lot during my 6 years inside. Probably one of the more difficult parts to remember is all the smiles and laughter. Yes, I did have a lot of fun in there.
Then I moved to a new state upon my release. I was ready to live clean and sober. I went from being surrounded by people I knew and liked in prison to complete solitude in society.
Everything was gone; my friends, my routine and life as I knew it.
Being single and without friends were the biggest threats to my sobriety. A lack of sunlight (Portland, Oregon) along with being single, no friends and doing things clean/sober for the first time in free society were all contributors to suicidal feelings.
It has been a rough road. Life is starting to come together and I've maintained my sobriety throughout all of it. This is my second book and I'm becoming someone.
