From the steel plow in 1837 and the gasoline-powered farm tractor in 1892 to today’s advanced models, Deere & Company has produced an incredible array of agricultural products. Now doing business in more than 160 countries around the globe and employing more than 40,000 people, the corporation is the world’s most famous and successful tractor manufacturer. But through the decades, Deere has also been involved in many other aspects of farm life, covered here for the first time in book form: from listers and hay-balers to others implements and threshing machines—even bicycles, automobiles, lawn and garden tractors, and snowmobiles.
