Review
Quilting's rock star Fassett takes his bold color palette to Skansen Museum, an outdoor collection of period houses in Stockholm. A quarter of the book contains photos of the quilts in the museum setting, adding an imaginative context of color, history, and detail. Quilt designs are from Fassett and a team of elite designers, including Liza Prior Lucy, with experience levels from novice to advanced. An additional feature describes and illustrates with photos the process by which Fassett designed several of the quilts featured in the book, providing insight into his design instincts. Fans will surely want to add this to their shelves, and his group of admirers will grow. You might want to leave this book on the coffee table, even if you don't quilt. Better yet, hang - or snuggle under - a Fassett quilt. (Oct.) --Publishers Weekly
