Synopses & Reviews
Keep from Stumbling contains the truths you need to know for spiritual stability in your daily life. It clearly explains key areas of Bible truth in a way that every believer can easily understand. God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, Creation, the Adversary, and the Future are among the topics covered. As one pastor described it, This book is the profound made simple. The goal is for readers to gain the peace, joy, and spiritual stability that come from understanding and applying the great truths of the Word of God. Eugene Priddy was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 1959. He and his wife Monna Dean were missionaries in North Africa, Europe, and the USA with an international radio mission from 1959 until 1973. They founded Bible Basics International, Inc. (BBI) in October, 1973. BBI is a faith mission dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel through radio, literature, church planting, personal evangelism, and leadership training. Eugene has written Bible studies that have been translated and broadcast in more than a score of languages. In July, 1990, Bible Basics installed regional missionary station Radio HRGS in Roatan, Honduras. Its broadcast target area is the Bay Islands and the coastal areas of Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize. While the Priddys were in Europe, Eugene had the initial idea of providing systematic, basic Bible teaching for new and untaught believers. Many languages do not have the wealth of Christian books and literature available to English speaking believers. These studies were first written specifically for translation to help meet this need. When Eugene is speaking in Stateside churches, people often say this is exactly what they themselves need Bible teaching stated in easy-to-understand language, clearly supported by Scripture. That is precisely what you will find inside the covers of Keep from Stumbling Eugene graduated in 1959 from Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, NC with a B.R.E. degree and in 1968 from Wheaton Graduate School of Theology with an M.A. in Christian Education. On the fifth anniversary of Radio HRGS, he was given an honorary Doctors Degree (D.D.) by the Bay Island Baptist Association. Participating in the presentation were the Governor of the Bay Islands and other officials of government, education, and the church. Eugene and Monna Dean have five children and thirteen grandchildren. Eugene has authored a number of other books and tracts. For a complete list, see www.biblebasics.org.
