Review
All the books in the series are really good. The first one stands out because its the first one we read . . . this one [The Crack in Kazah] I think is now my next favourite in the series . . . there are so many twists and ideas . . . you just dont know where the book is going to go next.

Kendra Kandlestar and the Crack in Kazah would be an excellent class novel for individual reading or as a read aloud choice. It would be an excellent addition for personal, class, school and public libraries. Highly Recommended.

The numerous, and appealing, black and white illustrations by the author, the engaging characters, and fast paced adventures, make the books a friendly read.

My favorite part of Kendra Kandlestar and the Crack in Kazah is the illustrations. My favorite character is Oki the mouse. He is a talking mouse and that just makes me laugh. This book is enjoyable for kids age 8 and up that love fiction books and magic. My favorite author and illustrator is Lee Edward Fodi. I hope you enjoy this amazing fiction book!

About the Author
Growing up on a farm, Lee Edward Födi was subjected to various horrible chores such as cleaning up after chickens, pigs, geese, and younger siblings. There was a time when his father harbored hopes that his son would take over the family business—but these aspirations came to an abrupt end when the young author accidentally ran the tractor over his dads outhouse (thankfully, his dad was not inside at the time). As a result, Födi went on to pursue his love of art, mythology, and storytelling, all of which (luckily) do not require any skill in operating heavy machinery. He is the author and illustrator of The Chronicles of Kendra Kandlestar and has also illustrated several picture books, including Ill Follow the Moon and The Chocolatiers Apprentice, a Canadian national bestseller. When he is not writing and illustrating, Födi spends his time teaching kids how to daydream through his fun-filled creative writing workshops. He enjoys travelling, and especially exploring castles, mazes, tombs, and temples—not to mention tiny places hidden between the cracks of here and there.
