Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a summer tale published by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) for the first time in July 1865. Nicholas Williams translated this into Irish under the title Eachtra Eil se i dT r na nIontas (Evertype 2007). Many of the characters and adventures in that book belong to a pack of cards. Its characters and adventures are based on a game of chess.
