Eh bien Si l'on nous demandait le type criminel est - ii une realite ou une fiction, que repondrions-nous?
Si par type en entend en Anthropologie criminelle ce que l'on comprend sous ce nom en Anthropologie ou en Zoologie generales, on peut carrement repondre que le criminel-ne entendu comme type, c'est-a-dire comme doue d'un ensemble de caracteres qui permet de distinguer un groupe d'un autre groupe, une famille d'une autre, une race d'une autre, n'existe pas. Cela ne veut pas dire que les criminels ne puissent point porter un cachet commun, et comment une meme education, un meme mode d'existence, ne conduiraient - ils point a ce resultat, mais ils n'ont point le caractere specifique de famille, et par consequent anatomiquement il n'y a point de type congenital de criminel.
