About the Author
Bob Minkin is a photographer whose work has appeared on the covers and interiors of many magazines, books, and music CDs and DVDs. Clients have included
Rolling Stone, Time Magazine,
Relix,
Entertainment Weekly,
Guitar World,
Guitar Player, and Grateful Dead Productions. Bob continues to photographically document the music scene in the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he lives with his family in Marin County, California.
Blair Jacksoncovered the Grateful Dead for more that twenty-five years and is the author of several books, including Garcia: An American Life, Grateful Dead Gear: The Bandand#8217;s Instruments, Sound Systems, and Recording Sessions from 1965 to 1995, and Grateful Dead: The Music Never Stopped.
Steve Parish was a key member of the Grateful Deadand#8217;s road crew for twenty-five years as well as the road manager for the Jerry Garcia Band. He currently works part-time for the Bay Area jam band Moonalice. He lives in Petaluma, California.
Tom Constanten is an American keyboardist best known for playing with the Grateful Dead from 1968-1970. He has performed on more than forty albums throughout his career, including the Grateful Dead'sAnthem of the Sun and his most recent solo project Deep Expressions, Longtime Known. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
