Sparks fly the second they meet, each representing everything the other is running from -- the arrogant sports hero and the know-it-all woman who thinks jocks don't have a brain in their head. But as they get to know each other, their preconceptions come unhinged. He learns that beneath her uptight exterior is a burning passion for life, and what she never guessed is that beneath the bravado of this proud man is a heart as fragile as her own.
This novel is a battle of wits and wills, a story about breaking down walls and risking everything for a second chance at life, passion and love.
