Antiques picker and PI Jane Wheel returns to her hometown to find a comedian's TV special has turned deadly in the eighth of Sharon Fiffer's charming mystery series. With her divorce final, Jane must clear out her antique collection and sell her house. Now homeless, Jane heads to Kankekee, IL, her hometown, to find it, too, has been turned upside-down. Lucky Miller - a little-known comedian - is staging a comeback. Suspicious, Jane's mother Nellie hires Jane to investigate. But why does Nellie care? Lucky would sure like to know, so he, too, calls on Jane to find out. Still, Nellie may be the least of his problems when a driver on his crew turns up dead hours after claiming that Lucky tried to kill him.

About the Author
Sharon Fiffer collects buttons, Bakelite, pottery, vintage potholders, and other killer stuff. The author ofÂ seven previous Jane Wheel mysteries, she lives near Chicago.
Nora Fiffer most recently appeared at the Goodman in A Christmas Carol during the 2011/2012 Season. She also appeared as the title character in The Last Act of Lilka Kadison at Lookingglass Theatre Company. She toured with Silk Road Theatre Project's The DNA Trail and appeared on television in Detroit 1-8-7. Ms. Fiffer is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and The School at Steppenwolf. She is Sharon Fiffer's daughter.
